THEATRE OUTSIDE LONDON
Just about every city and town in Britain has a theatre, either producing its own shows (some of which later come to London) or hosting touring productions, often of recent London hits.
Here are links to some of the leading producing theatres in Britain, so you can see what they'll be offering when you visit
In addition, many shows that begin in London also tour the country, sometimes while the original is still running. If a touring production plays a city you're in, check our archives for our reviews of the London versions. (Be aware that in many cases the touring show will have a different cast.)
EDINBURGH FESTIVALS
Each August we covered the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe, averaging more than 150 reviews each time. Virtually all of these shows subsequently toured, and many came to London. Click on each year for the complete list.
